BSG 4-17 - (spoilers up to this ep)

chamallaIt was (almost) all about Boomer&Chief and Helo&Athena!!!! (and a bit of Kara to make things even better)
I can almost hear the fandom explode...
Seriously, it was heart-wrecking to watch and I'm just trying to write down something coherent at this point.
Boomer&Chief reunion scene was so much more than I expected. And the writers so stole that "Please..." and "...a while..." lines from Twilight!!! lol..I don't mind. (They took the sex scene from fan fic too and of course they made it as dark and angsty as it can possibly be. Don't mind that too, except WHY do it to Helo and Athena?!!! Ah,...)
It was so sweet to see them back together but then the hell broke loose and left me wondering was she pretending all the way. Boomer is such a tragic character and even though I can condone anything she has done I can't help not to feel for her 'cos everything she did will eventually hurt her even more and she will have nobody to blame but herself.
Strangely enough I have no fear for Helo&Athena now. I fear writers would kill them of course, I fear for Hera, but I think they will go trough this together and come out even stronger. After all, it was not like he wanted to have sex with someone else. He was actually raped in the most devious way and it feels even worse than Athena's (attempted) rape on Pegasus.
Now, I want to see them get their guns and go get Hera, no matter what!!!

Date: 2009-02-28 08:27 pm (UTC)I'm waiting until my anger subsides to review this episode because, in spite of my personal feelings over the direction this storyline took, I actually think it was a great episode. Once I can get into my rational mind-set, I will attempt to review the episode for its merits and not how it made me feel.
